An off-matrix terminated Topaz crystal of bright cornflower ice-blue from the Murzinka mine in the Prigorodny District, Middle Urals, Russia.  This mine works the famous Murzinka gem bearing granite pegmatite.  The internal structure of the crystal is complex and ranges from translucent cloudy-white and blue to transparent, gemmy zones of cornflower blue. Prism faces are lustrous and smooth; some having a waxy appearance in parts.  A fabulous and crisply terminated Topaz crystal with sharp edges of the most stunning and delightful colour. It is accompanied with a clearly old, yet unprovenanced, printed and hand written label.
