Chrysocolla pseudomorph after "Selenite"

ID: CC8117
A delightful divergent spray of rich turquoise-blue Chrysocolla pseudomorphing after long acicular Selenite crystals, to 3.5 cm long.  This lovely small miniature is from Ray mine on Scott Mountain, part of the Mineral Creek Mining District (also known as the Ray Mining District) in Pinal County, Arizona, USA.  The crystals vary between 1 and 3 mm in width and thickness and all have a matt turquoise surface layer which coats an inner glassy turquoise core.  A lovely pseudomorph of a most pleasing colour.
