An exceptional cabinet specimen of Bismuthinite with Chalcopyrite from the famous Fowey Consols, one of the deepest, richest and most important Cornish copper mines. Adjacent thin layers of Quartz veinstone contain crystals of rod-like acicular-prismatic metallic grey Bismuthinite measuring to 2 cm. These span a cavernous, metallic brassy reddish and yellow tarnished Chalcopyrite crystalline matrix, reminiscent of the entrance to Fingal’s Cave. A wonderful specimen of Bismuthinite from this classic Cornish location and comes with a detailed previous collector’s label and a previous 2005 Crystal Classics label.
