An off-matrix interpenetrant Fluorite twin from the world-renowned Hilton mine in Scordale, near to Appleby in Cumbria. Both honey-amber crystals range from translucent to reasonably transparent and are of the much sought-after distorted cubic habit, forming orthorhombic-type crystals measuring 3.2 x 1.9 x 1.6 cm and 2.3 x 1.8 x 1.0 cm.  The dimensions for the smaller crystal are for the edges that emerge from twinning with the large crystal. The two back faces of the larger crystal show natural contact damaged and edges do show slight chipping. Nonetheless, the specimen is a fine example of Fluorite of this habit from the Hilton mine, Cumbria.
