This beautiful miniature Azurite with Cerussite is obviously an old time specimen from Tsumeb judging from the accompanying old handwritten label. The label is rather scrappy and makeshift, probably quickly written as a temporary label yet now having survived perhaps for one hundred years! This lovely specimen is composed entirely of intergrown Azurite and Cerussite crystals, the latter more predominant on the back. The display surface is encrusted with gemmy to semi-transparent deep azure blue Azurite crystals which once caught in transmitted light become a wonderful electric blue.
