A classic Pune double terminated Apophyllite crystal measuring 7.5 cm long sits across, and intergrown with, colourless pale smoky Calcite crystals and bladed sheaves of silky delicate salmon-pink Stilbite. The Pune District is famous for its wonderful zeolite minerals, hosted in the Deccan Trap basalts. The Calcite crystals measure up to 3 cm and are developed as blocky, multi-faced complex rhombohedra. A fine and showy specimen.
