Dark emerald-green micro-crystals of the hydrated copper iron phosphate, Chalcosiderite, richly line a vuggy rusty-ochre matrix of porous gossany Quartz. From its type locality of West Phoenix mine at Minions near to Linkinhorne, Cornwall, England, the Chalcocite form a blanket covering of 2 mm diameter spheres, each built from nested lustrous crystals. The crests of two small exposed areas of the Chalcocite are very slightly rubbed, but this is not at all apparent unless magnified. A beautiful and rich display specimen of Chalcosiderite from West Phoenix mine in Cornwall.
