The Pcheloyad mine lies in the south-eastern Kardzhali Oblast of Bulgaria  This mine, which is now closed, became famous amongst mineral collectors for its unusual clove-brown prismatic Pyromorphite crystals. This specimen is very rich in these hexagonal crystals which have flat pinacoid terminations and a sub-metallic lustre.  A band of these crystals, of up to about 8 mm in length, are draped across the top and front of a rectangular specimen of milky-white Quartz matrix.
