Bournonite

ID: CC8767
Very nicely developed, but somewhat unusual mirror-bright Bournonite crystals to 14 mm nestled amongst equant milky-white double terminated Quartz crystals from the classic Herodsfoot mine at Lanreath near Liskeard, Cornwall.  The Bournonite crystals exhibit “cog wheels”, but appear more rectangular than wheel-like.  Beneath the Quartz crystals, the base is rich in massive Bournonite, some of which is crystallised along 2 cm of one side of the specimen.
