TOURMALINE

ID: CC8833
A stubby, off-matrix, composite crystal of part-gemmy bi-coloured Tourmaline (likely Elbaite) from the gem deposits at Paprok in Nuristan Province, Afghanistan. The colour of the crystal divides almost equally into two halves; the lower section being a pale, delicate candy-pink and the upper section pale, light peppermint green.  The crystal is glassy and highly reflective and terminates as a stepped cluster of individual trigonal faces.  A pretty and well-formed Tourmaline from Paprok.
