Euchroite
ID:
CC9026
Without doubt the best crystal specimens of the rare copper arsenate Euchroite for their size come from this location at Ľubietová (formerly Libethen) in Banská Bystrica County, Slovakia. This small cabinet specimen has several blocky intergrown crystal clusters measuring to 1.2 cm, displaying the characteristic deep leaf green colour which contrasts against the Goethite rich slate matrix. A nice example of this rare species from the type locality area. The specimen comes with two earlier collector’s labels, one being extremely old in copperplate handwriting and a slightly blurred round rubber stamp in blue ink on the back.
