A beautifully formed, classic Japan Law twin Quartz from the old Japanese location of Miyamoto village in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. The twin is colourless, transparent to semi-transparent and has a frosted surface. The heart-shaped crystal measures 6.2 cm wide and has a well-defined re-entrant angle. It is speckled by small, near-surface tan inclusions, some of which break through to the surface causing small pits to have developed. This interesting large miniature comes with an old Julius Bohm label dating to around 1920 and is mounted on a colourless transparent acrylic base.
