A single gemmy, very pale pink Morganite Beryl crystal measuring to 2.1 cm nestles in a bed of white bladed Albite Feldspar crystals of the variety Cleavelandite, from the world-famous Stewart mine at Pala in San Diego County, California. Stubby, pink gemmy Tourmaline prisms surround the Morganite in association with a matrix of more massive granular Albite and Quartz. Although not identified, the Tourmaline is most probably Elbaite. A single Tourmaline prism to one side is pale candy pink while the prisms on the opposite side are a brighter cerise pink. The longest Tourmaline crystal measures 1.1 cm. The Morganite displays frosted prism faces characteristic of this location. A rare and beautiful miniature Morganite with pink tourmaline on Cleavelandite from the Stewart mine.
