Cerussite In Calcite Geode

ID: CC1034

An uncommon specimen of reticulated Cerussite from Merehead Quarry, Somerset, England. The Cerussite sits nestled in a pod within a black Mn oxide matrix, which is lined by a druse of sparkling white Calcite crystals, black in areas due to Mn oxides on the Calcite. The reticulated twinned habit of the Cerussite is well displayed within the Geode. A pleasing example of this form of Cerussite not very often seen from Merehead Quarry.
