Chalcocite

ID: CC1084

A neat bright metallic grey specimen of Chalcocite from the old St. Ives Consols Mine, Cornwall. The specimen displays a number of inter-grown Chalcocite crystals measuring to 1.4cm. A great miniature specimen from a mine that has an interesting history dating back to before 1818. The mine also produced geological curiosities in the form of Carbonas crystal lined ore extensions out from the main lodes often lined with crystals.
