Very fine terminated crystal specimen of Cornish Chalcocite from the Crenver and Wheal Abraham Mine, Crowan. Although Chalcocite from this mine is less well known than the Levant/Geevor Chalcocite, specimens are on a par with those from the two St.Just mines. Crenver and Abraham mine was predominately a copper mine worked in the 19th century. The particularly fine Chalcocite specimen we have displays a thickly bladed crystal measuring to 3,3cm tall. Inter grown with further crystals of Chalcocite at the base of the specimen. One side of the main crystal has grown against a chloritic dark green matrix with minor brown Cassiterite. A super crystal specimen of Chalcocite from the mine.
