A classic specimen of inter grown Chalcophyllite crystals from Cornwall's most celebrated copper mine, Wheal Gorland, St. Day. Crystals of rich green Chalcophyllite measuring to 3m are seen covering channels on the matrix. Of added rarity is a single blue 1mm crystal of Liroconite in association. The Chalcophyllite has formed on light brown mineral with embedded shards of Quartz. A crystalline maroon coloured Cuprite is the main matrix, with some cavities lined with Cuprite crystals. 'Rams Horn' Malachite is to be seen on the underside of the specimen.
