Very characteristic specimen of crystallized Chalcopyrite on Baryte from the Ecton Mine, Ecton Hill, Staffordshire. The specimen depicts a knobbly chalky white Baryte matrix, mostly covered on the top surface by metallic yellow druse of Chalcopyrite, with a violet to deep blue iridescence. The Bayte has also mostly covered a band of Chalcopyrite in the form of Blister Copper (the only location for the variety outside of Cornwall in the UK to our knowledge).
