Chalcopyrite on Fluorite

ID: CC82

Several very lustrous golden Chalcopyrite crystals are perched on top of Fluorite cubes. The Chalcopyrites have smooth triangle shaped faces, and measure to 9mm in width. The Fluorite crystals are aligned in a stepped arrangement like a flight of stairs. They are transparent pale green with a hint of purple along their bevelled edges. The largest cube measures 12mm along the edge. A nice combination of minerals in this specimen, from a classic Cornish location.
