Chalcopyrite Var Blister Copper

ID: CC2882

The specimen displays excellent development of the variety Blister Copper, from one of Cornwall's great mines, namely Tincroft. The mine worked a number of lodes between Camborne and Redruth. The specimen shows intergrown groups of botryoidal rounded Chalcopyrite with a deep metallic purple-blue patina to the surface. A classic specimen of Blister Copper from the mine.
