Well formed crystals of Childrenite from the classic Devonshire location at the George and Charlotte Mine on the east side of Tamar River. The highly lustrous Childrenite crystals measuring to 3mm form clusters and scattered individuals. The colour is mostly a rich nut brown, with some lighter areas in the crystals. The larger crystals have formed on a minutely crystallised druse of Childrenite, which has covered a very dark green Chlorite. This has made the crystal druse appear black. The matrix is a dense light green Chlorite with deep brown veinlets of Siderite. A fine specimen of Childrenite from the well known location.
