A super rich old time specimen of the Silver Chloride Chlorargyrite from the Chanarcillo mining area in Chile. Highly waxy lustred to 1.5cm wide vein of Chorargyrite has a gemmy to translucent colourless to grey colour. The Chlorargyrite is formed between a brown/grey rock matrix veined by white Calcite, with micro crystals of Chlorargyrite formed in some of the Calcite cavities. Two old labels come with the specimen one stating a date of 1877, the other is a Bryce M. Wright label also dating to around 1877. A fine rich Chlorargyrite from the area.
