Rich bladed crystals of Chloroxiphite in Mendipite from Merehead Quarry, Somerset, England. The lustrous deep olive green Chloroxiphite forms as bladed crystals on both sides of the specimen to 1.9cm long. The front side displays several areas of long bladed Chloroxiphite crystals, which crosscut the pinkish fibro-laminar Mendipite. Another species to be noted on the specimen, mostly intergrown with the Chloroxiphite, is blue micro areas of Diaboleite. A fine example of Chloroxiphite with associated rare species to study.
