Several bright turquoise blue globular clusters of Chrysocolla have formed in a cavity in gossanous Silicified Iron-rich matrix. The Chrysocolla is formed of radiating elongate crystals forming the globules, which measure to 3cm width. The whole cavity is coated in a thin layer of finely botryoidal Chalcedony, which gives the rest of the cavity a matt grey colour which contrasts well with the bright Chrysocolla. The back of one of the Chrysocollas reveals a central core of Malachite, typical for this area. An attractively coloured specimen that presents well.
