A smart specimen of Cobaltoan Calcite from the Bou Azer mining area. The Cobaltoan Calcite forms a fine cluster of gemmy crystals across the specimen, and a prominent aggregate at what is in effect the top of the specimen. The crystals display three faced pyramidal terminations which are faintly striated. The Cobaltoan Calcite is very lustrous and from translucent to gemmy light pink, beautifully contrasted against the dark bladed crystal druse of Marcasite. The Marcasite is covered by a thin micro-botryoidal layer of Hematite. A fine specimen from Morocco.
