Cobaltoan Calcite

ID: CC1595

For a long time now the Bou Azzer district of Morocco has been producing outstanding Cobaltoan Calcite specimens. This specimen is one of a half dozen or so we picked from an important find in early 2008. A druse of pale milky pink to intense pink colour at the surface, with excellent lustre lines a vug in the matrix. Several crystals rise above the druse forming elongate crystals to 4mm with sharp terminations and are very gemmy. A lovely cabinet display specimen.
