Cobaltoan Calcite

ID: CC1729

An attractive specimen of gemmy pink Cobaltoan Calcite from Bou Azer. The crystals are well formed and elongate, measuring to over 1cm, with most crystals approx 7mm long, and 4mm wide at the triangular termination. The Calcite crystals have formed from a vein running through the matrix (visible on the back of the specimen), and are nicely contrasted by the black Oxide coating on the matrix. The specimen is in good condition, with bruising only around the edges. Good colour and lustre, from a classic location.
