A pleasing pink Cobaltoan Smithsonite specimen from the Tsumeb Mine. The Cobaltoan Smithsonite forms intergrown crystals measuring to 1.2cm. The crystals are composed of stacks of pyramidal lenticular crystals. The matrix for the pink Smithsonite is a mixture of micro-crystals of Smithsonite, with later gemmy prismatic crystals of yellow Mimetite. The underside of the specimen has areas of naturally etched Galena. Pretty!
