Cobaltoan Smithsonite

A relatively large crystal of Cobaltoan Smithsonite from the premier location for the variety at the Tsumeb Mine. The Cobaltoan Smithsonite form a slightly curved rhombic crystal measuring to 2cm on edge. The main crystal has a small stepped growth crystal at the lower right hand corner, with a similar crystal at the base of the specimen. The colour is a fine rich pink, a nicely formed small cabinet specimen.
