An open rosette of Crednerite crystals with Hydrocerussite from Merehead Quarry, Somerset, England. The fine bright metallic coal black Crednerite forms intergrown thin platy crystals in an area of 1.7cm by up to 1.5cm. A white mass of Hydrocerussite has partly overgrown the Crednerite crystal group along the back and on one side. Bright green acicular crystals of Malachite have developed in a small diamond shaped cavity on the specimen. The matrix is a colourless to translucent white Calcite crystal druse with grey-black Mn oxides. A fine example of Crednerite from Merehead Quarry.
