ID: CC1008

A super specimen of Crednerite with Malachite from Merehead Quarry, Somerset, England. The Crednerite forms a 1.4cm group of thin black lustrous platy crystals, congregated at one end of the specimen. The Crednerite is partly overgrown by grass green needles of Malachite, and sits on a translucent white Calcite matrix with grey-black Mn oxides. A fine example of a rare species from Merehead Quarry.
