A great crystal rosette of Crednerite from Merehead Quarry, Somerset, England. The Crednerite forms a fine cluster of thin platy Monoclinic crystals in a rosette measuring to 1.1cm. The rich coal black crystals have a high reflective luster, and the rosette sits pleasing contrasted against the white Cerussite and Calcite matrix. Tiny acicular green crystals of Malachite are scattered in limited areas upon the Crednerite. A lovely crystal example of Crednerite from the premier location for the species.
