Unusual to see a terminated Quartz crystal with Cuprite from Wheal Gorland, St. Day, Cornwall. Crystals of bright maroon red Cuprite are seen to have formed as an inter grown cluster, with an octahedral habit. A single almost smoky terminated crystal of Quartz stands proud of the Cuprite, with shards of milky vein Quartz interspersed in the Cuprite. A curious specimen from the mine.
