A stout prismatic crystal of Diopside dominates the specimen from the DeKalb area in Lawrence Co, New York, USA. The crystal of Diopside measures to 2.5cm tall, with a lucid translucent pastel green colour. Faces are striated parallel with the purism, and terminated by a slopping face. Small crystals of Diopside are also clustered around the base of the main crystal, on a creamy white matrix.
