Dufrenite

Dufrenite is a rare Cornish species, the specimen we have is from Wheal Phoenix. The specimen of Dufrenite is on a dense grey chloritic matrix with areas of white Quartz. The top side of the specimen has a thin veneer of minutely botryoidal Goethite, this is partly covered in silky radial areas of yellowish deep green Dufrenite. Inter grown individual radials of Dufrenite measuring to 8mm. A characteristic specimen from Wheal Phoenix.
