A feature crystal of the mineral Ettringite stands upright measuring to 1.6cm tall, with a fine much sought after translucent yellow colour, and lustre. Off to one side of the specimen a well formed group of Ettringite crystals measuring to 1.3cm formed at a 90 angle to the major crystal. The Ettringite has formed on a druse of colourless micro-crystals of Calcite on a matrix of red-brown Hematite. From the N'Chwaning Mine, South Africa.
