Fluorapatite

ID: CC2308

Two excellent relatively large (for the location) Fluorapatite crystals from Ehrenfriedersdorf, Germany. The Fluorapatite crystals measure up to 2.8cm across the pinacoid faces by 2cm thick. The crystals are semi-transparent to translucent with a high luster on all the faces. The colour is from colourless to a greenish grey in the body of the crystals. The Fluorapatites are associated with translucent prismatic terminated crystals of Quartz to 1.8cm long, which are partly encrusted in a light green Chlorite. A fine Fluorapatite from Germany, which comes with an old label.
