Fluorapatite

ID: CC3986

What can be said about the best Fluorapatite specimen to have come out of the Chywoon Quarry, Longdowns, Cornwall in a long long time. Excellent sharply formed crystals of Fluorapatite measuring to 0.9cm are scattered over the creamy Feldspar matrix. Fluorapatite crystals are colour zoned parallel to the pinacoid, with a near colourless central area and green terminations. The specimen comes with a brief handwritten account by David Green about the find.
