The specimen is very richly adorned with classic variety Francolite crystals from the Levant Mine, Trewellard, Cornwall. Lustrous translucent brown crystals of Fluorapatite are intermittently inter-grown, and form ridges of crystals, over a Hematite/Goethite/Quartz matrix. The crystals of Francolite measuring to 3mm are thick tabular in habit, with zoned inclusions of micro-Pyrite crystals. A classic of its type from the Levant Mine.
