Fluorite

ID: CC956

A daylight (purple) fluorescent interpenetrant twinned Fluorite crystal with a lovely gemmy green colouration and high lustre. The relatively large crystals measure to 2.4cm on edge. The crystals do have two or three tiny chips which is reflected in the price.

The mine was accessible up until the early 1980's, although it was extremely hard to collect from the very hard Limestone. The nearby Heights Quarry workings has made the mine totally inaccessible.
