A brilliant amber coloured Fluorite from the Freiberg mining area in Germany. The Fluorite specimen is a classic intergrown aggregate of cubic crystals, measuring to over 1.1cm on edge. The Fluorite crystals are very lustrous with a gemmy amber colour. Light yellow phantom fluorite crystals can be seen through the transparent Fluorite. The specimen is partly covered on the back edge by a druse of creamy Calcite, which is in-turn sparsely scattered with micro-crystals of Chalcopyrite. The Chalcopyrite also forms on the Fluorite as just a few micro-crystals. An excellent Fluorite from this old mining area.
