Fluorite

ID: CC3315

A rare blue Fluorite for Wheal Mary Ann, Menheniot, Cornwall. A large matrix Fluorite has a band of sea blue over grown on colourless Fluorite. The real feature of this specimen are the inter grown crystals on the matrix Fluorite. A cluster of twilight blue Fluorite crystals measuring to 1.3cm on edge have developed at a top corner of the specimen. These are translucent and show a deeper blue colour zone close to the crystal edges. An uncommon colour for the mine.
