A pretty display of Fluorite, Schorl and Beryl on Quartz from the new find (mid 2012) in the Erongo Mountains, Namibia. The Fluorite cluster is attractively positioned on the Quartz, heavily modified with stepped growth features, similar in form to the 'aztec pyramids' of Naica Fluorites. Measuring 1.6cm wide it is translucent pale blue with deep purple tinges at surface. Lustrous Schorl Tourmaline to 1.2cm, and a single glassy water clear Goshenite crystal of 3mm length accompany the Fluorite on a bed of prismatic Smoky Quartz. An aesthetic combination!
