Fluorite and Calcite

ID: CC55
Lustrous sharp purple Fluorite cubes are intergrown on a bed of drusy Quartz crystals, with white 'poker chip' Calcite crystals and minor Pyrite. Purple Fluorite is rare for Cambokeels, and this is a particularly attractive colour featuring darker purple growth phantoms. The lustre is excellent and the largest cube measures 27mm in width. Several of the Fluorite cubes appear to be interpenetration twins. The Calcite forms translucent white flattened hexagonal crystals and ranges from 2mm to 27mm in width, scattered over both the Fluorite cubes and Quartz. The Quartz crystals are translucent and cover the matrix in a druse of well terminated crystals measuring to just over 5mm in height. Very asethetic and an excellent display specimen of rare colour.
