Trevaunance Mine at St. Agnes in Cornwall, England is famed for its complex Fluorite crystal habits and this miniature is yet another fine example from this mine.  The specimen is a part octahedral crystal formed from a core of massive Fluorite whose octagonal faces are built from stepped rows of sub 2 mm Fluorite cubic crystals, each of which has a lilac face centre surrounded by a broad purple edged rim.  Two Pyrite crystals are embedded in one side of the crystal.  Of the half octahedron that still exists, only two faces are completed built from these smaller crystals, but it remains an interesting specimen from this sought after location.
