A gorgeous specimen of neon green Fluorite with Schorl Tourmaline and Feldspar from the Erongo Mountains. The Fluorites are a stunning colour, transparent with bright green cores, and deep purple tinges at surface. The cubic crystals have domed crystal faces and interesting surface features, individually to 2cm. They are intergrown around a large partial Schorl crystal - both minerals have formed on a large Feldspar crystal. The Feldspar has been naturally etched to give a striated biscuity texture, and the matching biscuit colour nicely complements the Fluorites. Interestingly on the rear of the Schorl is a bubbly layer of Hyalite Opal. An attractive display from this mid 2012 find.
