A fantastic specimen of well developed Fluorite crystals on Quartz, from the East Pool Mine, Cornwall. The Fluorite forms excellent cubic crystals to 0.5cm with modified edges. The crystals have a gemmy light lilac body with edges picked out by a contrasting strong purple, and a high luster. The Fluorite richly invests both sides of a white Quartz matrix. Sparsely scattered crystals of Chalcopyrite are associated with the other two minerals. A really fine Fluorite from a mine that closed in 1949.
