A fine Cornish Fluorite from the 260 Fathom Level, South Crofty Mine, Illogan. A sharply formed stepped habit cubic Fluorite crystal measuring to 1.8cm overall. displaying a yellow phantom enclosed by translucent pastel sea blue-green Fluorite. The crystal of Fluorite sits atop a druse of white Quartz, over a banded Hematite-Fluorite-Quartz matrix. A neat specimen from Cornwall's last working mine probably collected in the late 1980s (mine closed 1998).
