Fluorite, Siderite and Chalcopyrite on Fluorite

ID: CC4284

A neat specimen of a Fluorite crystal with Siderite and Chalcopyrite from the East Pool Mine, Pool, Cornwall. The crystal of Fluorite measuring to 1.3cm displays steep growth habit, and is gemmy with a hint of purple colour sitting nestled in a central cavity. Associated with biscuit coloured inter grown platy crystals of Siderite, and a later deposition of bright metallic yellow Chalcopyrite crystals. All the minerals have formed on a matrix of green-white Fluorite. A pleasingly clean specimen from East Pool Mine.
