An uncommonly gemmy crystal specimen of Fluorite from a single cavity in the Wet Grooves Mine, Askrigg, North Yorkshire. Fine lustrous crystals of Fluorite measure to 1.5cm on edge. Crystals are a gemmy pastel yellow to colourless, with faint purple edges, inter-grown on a slightly domed shaped specimen. The reverse side of the specimen has inter grown crystals of gemmy prismatic colourless to translucent white Baryte, an unusual habit for Wet Grooves Baryte. A fine and uncommon Fluorite from the mine.
